Introduction To The Correct Use Of Pressure Cookers

Pressure cookers only demonstrate their advantages and durability when used correctly, and should be used according to the following methods.
1. Wipe oil
For unused new pots, the sealing ring has high elasticity. Please add a small amount of food oil to the upper and lower parts of the pot body as indicated by the arrow in the diagram to facilitate initial opening and closing. Before each use, the lid, body, and handle of the pot should be cleaned thoroughly for easy closing.
2. Add food
When adding food, both food and water should not exceed four fifths of the pot capacity, and water or soup should not be less than 400 milliliters (about two bowls).
3. Close the lid
(1) Before closing the lid, check if the exhaust pipe is unobstructed, if the anti blocking cover is clean, if the safety valve is intact, if the float can move up and down freely, and if it is in the lowered position.
(2) Place the pot cover flat on the pot body and fix the pot body. Rotate the pot cover clockwise as shown in the diagram until the upper and lower handles completely overlap. At this point, move it to the working position and the float valve is fully exposed.
4. Heating up
After closing the lid, it can be heated with high heat. When a small amount of steam is slowly discharged from the exhaust pipe, the pressure limiting valve should be fastened to the exhaust pipe. Then, the float will rise until the exhaust pipe "hisses" and exhausts. The furnace temperature can be appropriately reduced to maintain exhaust until cooking is complete.
5. Cooling and deflation
After cooking, it can be naturally cooled at room temperature. If it is to be consumed immediately, a forced cooling method (such as pouring water or soaking in water) can be used to reduce the pressure. After cooling, the pressure limiting valve can be gently removed to release the remaining gas.
6. Open the lid
If there is no steam discharged from the exhaust pipe and the float falls, you can open the cover counterclockwise. If the float has not fallen, it indicates that there is still pressure inside the pot. At this point, the air pressure interlock device will act as a safety measure and cannot open the pot lid. Do not forcefully open the lid. Use chopsticks to press down the indicator valve to clear the remaining air in the pot before opening the lid.
